The following steps are required to get connected to Netgear Wi-Fi router using Netgear Genie setup. You have to make sure that your Netgear extender is connected to your existing Wi-Fi network or any other wifi device of Netgear. Steps For Configuring Cable Internet Connection After Factory Reset

Connect the Ethernet cable from the computer to any one of the LAN ports of the router.
Type http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 or routerlogin.net in the address bar and press Enter.
The default username is “admin” and password is “password”. Enter these login details and click on login button.
The Setup will finish configuring the internet connection.
Click on Setup Wizard.
Select Yes and click Next. For cable internet connections, the Setup Wizard detects Dynamic IP.
Click Next. The router saves the settings.

Use the following URLs in your web browser for netgear extender login depending on your device:

A verification email is sent to your email address by Netgear.

Log In to Your Netgear Router Using the Genie App through Mobile

If you have a NETGEAR account, use those credentials to sign in to the genie mobile app. If you don’t have a NETGEAR account, create an account or tap SKIP.

Connect your mobile device to the router’s Wi-Fi network.
Open genie mobile app.
Tap the SIGN IN button.
Enter your NETGEAR account credentials and sign in.
If you’re accessing your router locally, the Local Access page displays & Open the router option that are at left side of the dashboard
Enter your router’s admin password and tap the LOGIN button.

Type http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.comin the url bar of your internet browser. A login window opens. Enter therouter user name and password. Default user name is admin. Thedefault password is password.
